MITA in EuroShop to increase performances in CO2 units for supermarkets
It is the first time of MITA Cooling Technologies in EuroShop, world’s most important retail trade fair. The 2020 edition will take place in Düsseldorf from February 16th to 20th.
Firms and visitors interested in increasing performance in CO2 refrigeration systems through an innovative and patented solution can visit MITA at Hall 15, booth G17.
1. The Trade Fair of Düsseldorf
EuroShop, trade fair for retail industry, has taken place in Messe Düsseldorf every three years since 1966. In more than 50 years of history it has increased its leading role in the world: in 2017 it hosted 2,368 exhibitors from 61 countries – as its website shows.
Some areas of interest:
- food service equipment,
- retail technologies,
- general services (marketing, publishers, trade associations),
- refrigeration and energy management systems.
In this last category, visitors will find Alchemist patented adiabatic subcooler designed by MITA Cooling Technologies.
2. The solution: a plug&play, patented and efficient subcooler for commercial refrigeration
Alchemist is explicitly thought to increase efficiency and reduce resource use in CO2 refrigeration plants: in e.g. in supermarkets.
CO2 chillers are the present and the future of commercial refrigeration: indeed, carbon dioxide is high in heat transfer coefficient, economic and environmental-friendly. However, efficiency losses can occur at high outdoor air temperatures.
Alchemist patented adiabatic sub-cooler increases system efficiency when installed downstream of a dry gas cooler in the refrigeration unit. Moreover, it reduces water use significantly comparing to solutions with adiabatic gas coolers.
3. MITA Cooling Technologies
Founded in 1960, MITA Cooling Technologies designs, manufactures and sells:
- adiabatic subcoolers for commercial refrigeration,
- evaporative and adiabatic coolers,
- customized cooling solutions and integrated systems.
In 60 years of history over 30,000 systems have been installed in refrigeration and industrial plants throughout Europe.
Engineering firms, installers and end-users can always leverage on a single advisor for their cooling projects from the preliminary inspection to the final installation.
